Busy Life

2 jobs, working overtime, making cakes, o yeah and planning a wedding. I have been a busy busy girl. But it will all be worth it in a few months...right?? :o) Can't wait for the weekend of the wedding and the honeymoon. It is going to be a nice needed, WONDERFUL break. The wedding planning is coming along. Not as far as long as I would like to be, but with the busyness, it makes it a bit hard. Working on invites and address at this point and time. Ordered our cake topper today. Still a bunch of minor detail left to plan. Fingers crossed more things start falling off my todo list quickly.

4 Day Weekend

and now I need a vacation...I know I do it to myself, but wow what a busy 4 day weekend I have. On Friday I ran around with mom and grandma in the morning and we looked for mother of and grandmother of the bride dresses. Then back to my house to decorate many of baked goods (check out the cake blog http://cgcakes.blogspot.com/). Mom and grandma were a big help and I couldn't have done it with out them. Mom was busy baking for the bridal shower for Casey we had on Sunday, and grandma was making the cookie monster eyeballs, and rolling the brownie balls for the Elmo Brownie pops. So thanks so much mom and grandma!!!

On Saturday I continued to decorate in the morning. Then we were off to Jay's 1st bday party, and then we went to Paige's 6th bday party. The weather worked out well it didn't get at hot as is was supposed to and there were no thunderstorms. So yea mother nature! Needless to say I was exhausted, I was in bed by 9:15.

Sunday I woke up early again, did more decorating and a bit of cleaning up. Then headed off to Casey's wedding shower. It was a good time. Props to the maid's of honor (Renee and Laura) for throwing such a nice shower. I had a great time.

Today, another day off, felt like work. Woke up early and got my admissions done, my plates transferred and renewed, keys made, some wedding stuff done, and few more stops in between. Thanks for running around with me Mom, glad you car was sick and had to be in the shop all day. :o) So off to bed...back to work in the morning. Although, I still fell I need a day off. :o)

Bridemaid Dress Shopping

On March 14th we went and looked at bridesmaid dresses. Somehow Jenny didn't make it into any of the photos... It was crappy weather so I was excited they all made it out. Mom, Grandma, and Aunt Peggy came along too.

PS the dress we choose is the color of the dress Casey has on in pic one and the style of the dress Laura has on in pic two.

We also bought our invitation a few weekends ago. So noting really "big" left in the planning. Just smaller more minor planning left.

My New Toy

Check it out! I got a new (to me) 2005 Chevy Equinox! Super excited. Still mourning my Cavalier I had it for 7 years and it was the first car I ever owned, but am really liking the new ride. The AC works in the new ride and all 4 windows roll down! I plan on having this one for the long hall too. Run it in to the ground like I did the Cavalier (166000 miles). So who wants to take a spin in these new (Cooper) wheels?? :o) That is right they are Cooper tires - I think it was a sign.

Evening Out

Had an awesome day on Friday. Had a half day at work, and Ethon I spent the afternoon and evening together. Bought our wedding bands and had a wonderful dinner together at Mai Lee (so good). Then was in bed at 930 (much needed)!

"It's Poop Again"

Drains backed up in our basement on Thursday night and again early yesterday. Roto Rooter came over (that was a fun bill) and snaked the drain yesterday. Let's hope it doesn't happen again. Today we bleached the entire floor. Lots of fumes from that so had a headache all day today.
